13th (Early Morning) Win

I was fortunate enough to catch my 13th win which came early morning. Almost missed this one as I was preparing to leave for work. I’m beginning to get the hang of juggling the day job with trading. I just need to more experience to adjust my schedule accordingly. Of course, it helps to have a sub-mentor who’s beside you and can wake you up when there’s an opportunity to trade. Also of great help is the SRDC community who’s very supportive. To all of you: thank you so much!

12th Win Makes Three in a Row

It’s confirmed, I got 3 wins in one day. That’s 3 successful trades in just one day. And this is just by using basic skills I just learned from SRDC. So far, I am able to maintain a weekly ROI of about 6%, give or take. That is unbelievable! The goal now is not to be overly eager and to master the basic skills and hopefully acquire new techniques through experience and guidance from my sub-mentor, mentor and teachers.

Back to Back Wins: No. 10 and 11

I’m really happy for the two consecutive wins today. As our mentors, sub-mentors and instructors always emphasize: patience is key. I’m actually waiting for win number 12 so I might actually have three in a row today. SRDC is amazing!

9th Win

Just one trade opportunity for my skill level for the day. Still, I’m happy for every chance to get to 21 wins. Taking this journey one pip at a time. As they say: “good things come to those who wait.” However, Madeleine Peroux’s song also warns: “Don’t wait too long.” Balancing these seemingly opposing attitudes is important so as not to be over eager and also not miss certain trades. A good analysis will help in this respect.

8th Win, Every Trade Counts

After a hiatus on trade opportunities, I was able to get my 8th win. Although relatively modest, I am appreciating every pip I get towards the goal of 21 wins. Thus, every trade counts and every opportunity is important. I hope I am able to capitalize every chance to trade and get a win.

All In a Day’s Work: 6th and 7th Wins

Again, two wins (6th and 7th) within a day. Thank God for a trending market. I still have to get the hang of juggling a full time job with trading. My 7th win came via a trade made during a meeting. Apologies to my colleague who fortunately did not mind me excusing myself to answer an “urgent email,” had to catch that trade to get the required wins. I've been thinking on the possibilities that have been opened to me. So far, last week's ROI was 6.8%. This week, after only 2 days, my ROI is 6.1%. It boggles the mind! I'm so glad I joined SRDC. I wonder if it's time to quit my day job? ;)

5th Win, A Test of Patience

Finally got my 5th win (270 pips) after a looooong wait. It was truly a test of patience as it came 3 days after. During the interim, there were instances that I began to doubt my decision to trade. Fortunately, I was able to muster enough resolve and believe in my analysis. I have come to realize that psychology is indeed very important when trading.

Almost Missed My Fourth Win

I almost missed my 4th win (70 pips using basic trade). Thanks to my sub-mentor (aka the Wife), I got alerted to the opportunity to trade. Lesson learned: there will be times, particularly when you're at work, when you won't be able to notice the passing of time. This is where a good alarm clock would come in handy. I've been trying to find a good hourly alarm app for the smartphone. Have tried a few but I ended up using the default app. But of course, an alarm is only good if you heed its notification, as what happened to me for this trade/win. Now, if you're asleep, that's an altogether different matter.

Back to Back Wins

I was fortunate enough to get my second and third wins consecutively. Again, this is with the help of my sub-mentor (the Wife) who convinced me to wait for the 3rd opportunity to trade and win after the 2nd effort proved fruitful. I was ready to go to sleep (I needed to get up early for work the next day) happy with my 2nd win (which yielded 70 Pips) but the Wife convinced me to wait for the 3rd (which yielded 270 Pips). Mental note: there will be times that one will have to give up sleep to get that winning trade. Also, addendum to that mental note: listen to your sub-mentor (read: the Wife).

First Trade, First Win

Yes, my first trade is a win. I was fortunate enough to have been guided by an instructor (thanks Lil!) and a sub mentor (the Wife) during my first foray into trading in forex. I got 270 pips (please see photo above) in less than two (2) hours, which, as pointed out by my sub mentor, is amazing and has saved me from the anguish of a long wait for the TP. My takeaways: they say that patience is a virtue but fearlessness is also needed. Fearless vs careless.
